HS English PROSE: উচ্চমাধ্যমিক ইংরেজি গল্প বা গদ্য
তোমাদের গদ্য থেকে চারটি প্রশ্ন দেওয়া থাকবে দুটি করতে হবে। তার মানে তোমরা যে কোন দুটি গদ্য যেগুলি আগের বছর পড়েনি, ভালো করে করে গেলে উত্তর ঠিক লেখা আসতে পারবে। তবে রিক্স না নিতে চাইলে দেওয়া তিনটে গদ্যই তোমাদের জন্য খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

Three Questions
1.”Here comes someone running “—- Who said this to 11 whom? Why did he come running? How was he wounded? Describe his condition.
2. “You have already been answered “- who said this and whom? How had been the person spoken to been answered?
3.” Forgive me”—Who said this to whom? Why did he ask forgiveness of the Tsar? How was he forgiven? What did the Tsar do when he gained him as a friend? What was the commitment given by the person spoken to?
POEM: উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক ইংরেজি কবিতা
কবিতা থেকেও তোমাদের দুটো প্রশ্ন করতে হবে চারটে দেওয়া থাকবে। কম বেশি 100 শব্দের মধ্যে তোমাদের উত্তর লিখতে হবে। মানে ধরতে পারো একপাতা মতো উত্তর তোমাদের মোটামুটি লিখতে হবে। কবিতার ক্ষেত্রে তোমরা সারাংশ বা সামারিটা খুব ভালো করে করে যাবে তাহলেই তোমরা লাইন তুলে যে প্রশ্নগুলো দেওয়া থাকবে সেগুলোর উত্তর নিজের মতো ভাষায় গুছিয়ে লিখে আসতে পারবে।

Express the anti-war attitude of the poem? OR How is the futility of war is presented is the poem, ‘Asleep In The Valley’?
4.” In his side there are two red holes” Who has two red holes in his side? What does the expression in his side mean? What caused two red holes? What do they signify?

1.”So long as men can breathe or eyes can see ;so long lives this, and this gives life to thee. ” – what does ‘this’ refer to? Whom does ‘this’ give life? How long is ‘this’ expected to live? How does ‘this’ give life?
2.”When in eternal lines –grows”– Whom does the poet address in the line? What are eternal lines? What will grow in ‘eternal lines’? What will be unable to hidden the growth?
3. “Every fair from fair sometimes declines”- এই লাইন দিয়ে প্রশ্ন আসতে পারে
The proposal নাটক (HS English PLAY)
ইংরেজির ক্ষেত্রে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটা পাঠ হলো এই নাটক “দ্য প্রপোজাল”-টা (The proposal ) এখান থেকে তোমাদের একটা প্রশ্ন করতেই হবে। এটার কোন অল্টারনেটিভ নেই, তবে এখানে তোমাদের তিনটে প্রশ্ন দেওয়া থাকবে তোমাদের যে কোন একটি উত্তর করতে হবে। অনেক সময় লাইন তুলে প্রশ্ন করে, কে বলেছে কার উক্তি এরকম জিজ্ঞাসা করা হয় সে ক্ষেত্রে পার্ট নম্বর থাকে অথবা সরাসরি ডাইরেক্ট পাঁচ নম্বরের উত্তর লিখতে দেওয়া হয়।
1.”Oh! What a burden to be the father of a grown up daughter “– Who said this? Who is consider as a burden? Why does the speaker say so?
2.”She is a love sick cat”—– Who said this to whom? About whom was it said? Who is referred to as a love sick cat? Why does the speaker say so?

OR, How does Chubukov act as a bridge between two unstable characters?
4. Describe the character of Lomov.
GRAMMAR & VOCABULARY
গ্রামার এবং ভোকাবুলারি-এর ক্ষেত্রে একমাত্র উপায় হল Textual Grammer এবং লাইন ধরে ধরে প্র্যাকটিস করা। কি ধরনের ন্যারেশন চেঞ্জ? কি ধরনের ভয়েস চেঞ্জ রয়েছে – আর্টিকেল প্রিপজিশন এই গুলো খুব ভালো করে সতর্ক রাখা, এগুলোর তো কোনো সাজেশন হয় না তাই তোমরা নিজেদের মতো টেস্ট পেপার ধরে প্র্যাকটিস করলে এটা ভালো আয়ত্তে আনতে পারবে।

WRITING SKILLS
উচ্চ মাধ্যমিকের রাইটিং স্কিল কিন্তু মাধ্যমিকের থেকে অনেকটাই সহজ এখানে মাত্র তোমাদের একটাই রাইটিং লিখতে হবে তাও আবার শুধুমাত্র লেটার রাইটিং বা রিপোর্ট রাইটিং। তার সঙ্গে সামারি রাইটিং একটা রয়েছে যদিও সেটা অতটা ভালো নাম্বার ওঠে না।
Letter Writing
তোমরা এডিটোরিয়াল চিঠি বা লেটার রাইটিং এর একটা ফরমেট ঠিকঠাক করে গেলে যে কোন অফিশিয়াল চিঠি পড়লে তোমরা লিখে দিতে পারবে। আর প্রতিটা স্টেপ এর উপর নম্বর রয়েছে, তাই সঠিক নিয়মকানুন মানলে চিঠি লেখাতে ভালো নম্বর ওঠে।
1) Write a letter to the Editor of an English daily expressing your view on increasing violence
against women in our society.
2) Write a letter to the Editor of an English daily expressing your concern about price rise of daily uses.
3) Write a letter to the Editor of an English daily about Sound pollution in your locality.
4) Write a letter to a store manager complaining about the goods which you bought from that store.
5) Write a letter to the post master for enquiry about a missing parcel.

রিপোর্ট রাইটিং যেকোনো কারেন্ট অ্যাফেয়ার্স বা যেকোনো ঘটনা থেকে দেওয়া হয়, তাই এক্ষেত্রে লেখার ধরণের এবং নিয়ম-কানুন এর উপর বেশি নজর দিতে হবে নিচের যেগুলো দেওয়া রয়েছে এগুলোর মধ্যে তোমরা যদি প্র্যাকটিস করে যাও, যাই পড়ুক তোমরা লিখে দিতে পারবে।

এই বছরের জন্য চন্দ্রযান তিন এর উপর রিপোর্ট রাইটিং খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ, কিন্তু এটা মনে রাখবে যেটারই হাইপ বেশি থাকে সেটা কিন্তু কোনদিনও আসে না আজ পর্যন্ত। হয়তো চন্দ্রযান-তিন আসবেও না, কিন্তু তবুও তোমরা রিপোর্টটা করে রেখো।
